Running isn’t always just about running.  To minimise injury, increase performance and build a strong running foundation you will benefit from the multiple ways that specific resistance training enhances your running.

Run Ready  is a training strategy that NPPT has developed to help address the above objectives.  No matter your current ability, fitness level or goal we can help to prepare your body for your upcoming  running goals.

 

  • What:   Resistance Training provided in a Small Private Group Training Format
  • When:  Fridays at 5pm – (45min session)
  • Where: 142 Union Rd, Ascot Vale – Paramount Health & Fitness Club
  • Cost:    $20 per session

 

From personal experience I have learned the hard way that running on it’s own is not the best approach for me and I can safely say the same goes for the majority of the running community.  My personal running experience extends back more than 10 years when I struggled to run 2kms around a lake with my Heart Rate peaking well above 190bpm to now running Ultra Marathons up to 100kms in length and being on my feet for 20hours.

 

Check out this TV interview of one of my most recent runs which was a first for me in that it wasn’t an actual organised event.  It was more an adventure, off the beaten trail, which wouldn’t have been successful without the strong foundation built via more than running on it’s own.
